In 1986 we were proud to be able

to join the ranks of

The Alliance of Healing Associations

and our healers are bound by

the Code of Conduct which is in line with other members of UKHealers.

(see Related Sites)

This Code of Conduct is adhered to by all healers of associated bodies.

After a public meeting held at the Arts Theatre,

St. Austell on October 10th 1970, a group of people interested in fostering the promotion of spiritual, psychic development and healing, formed the St. Austell Spiritualist Group.

During the nearly 40 years since its formation, the group has expanded and evolved.  After meeting in various places, a home was found at the Cuddra W.I. Hall, Holmbush, St. Austell where the group remained for several years.

At last, in 1981,  premises were obtained in King’s

Avenue (The Pound House) as a long-awaited permanent home, and the name of THE CHURCH OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (of St. Austell) was adopted.  In 1982 it was decided to adopt the dual titles of The Church of the Holy Spirit and also THE RESEARCH & ENLIGHTENMENT CENTRE because the Centre is considered to be a teaching group that gives all who join the opportunity to widen horizons both in theory and practice.  We are not linked with any particular religion and our philosophy is universal in concept.

At the Millennium Dome, London on 14th August 2000 and along with many other faiths, we signed the Charter of support for the Launch of the United Religions Initiative UK.  The purpose of the URI is to promote enduring, daily interfaith co-operation, to end religiously motivated violence and to create cultures of peace, justice and healing for the Earth and all living beings.
